Kawana District Girl Guides is based at Buddina on the Sunshine Coast. It is a part of the Glasshouse Region of Girl Guides Queensland.
Girl Guides Queensland is the largest youth organisation for girls and women in Queensland, with almost 3,000 Youth Members and 1,000 volunteer Leaders and Adult Members. We provide a non-formal educational program designed to create leaders of tomorrow by building on strengths and personal skills development.
The Guide Program is flexible and can be adapted to suit each individual Member. Youth programs are girl-led and designed to encourage girls and women to be the change in their world. Guides is an organisation that welcomes and actively seeks members from all racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic groups.
Girl Guides offers girls aged 5 to 17 something unique: access to a great variety of activities throughout the year. Guides develop confidence, self-reliance, learn team building and leadership skills – all while making new friends, having fun and taking on new adventures!

Girl Guides of all ages are required to make the Girl Guide Promise and live by the Guide Law.
Girl Guides Queensland is a member of Girl Guides Australia and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
