“Happiness comes not from what we have but from what we give and what we share.”
Olave Baden-Powell
Girl Guides is a worldwide, non-formal educational movement for girls and young women. It empowers members to develop leadership, self-reliance, and life skills through outdoor adventures, community service, and team-building in a safe, female-only environment.
The Kawana District of Girl Guides Queensland currently operates three age-based units and manages the Kawana Girl Guide Hut.
🌊 Kawana ‘Seaside’ Guides: Ages 5 to 10 years meet on Monday afternoons
🐬 Kawana ‘Dolphin’ Guides: Ages 10 to 14 years meet on Thursday evenings
🌺 Kawana ‘Frangipani’ Ranger Guides: Ages 14 to 17 years meet on Wednesday evenings
All Kawana Girl Guide units meet weekly during school terms, usually at the Kawana Girl Guide Hut. We do not meet during school holidays.
